Hey guys I am ready to lower my 1GS3 and I am looking to get some actual feedback from guys that are using a Strut and lowering combo or coilovers. Normally coilovers would be an easy choice for me because all of my other cars are track oriented so a harsh ride is expected and accepted for maximum performance but my 1GS3 is my daily and is very unlikely to ever see any track use. Maybe the occasional aggressive on ramp entrance/exit but comfort is higher on my list as opposed to better track times. I am not really into the hella flush, VIP, super slammed look just lower the car to get of the rest of the wheel gap and make the car look better. With all of that said I am looking at the Megan EZ or Megan LP for coilover options and Bilstein Sports or KYB GR-2 with Tanabe springs. My concerns with coilovers are a ride that is too harsh especially with the pillow mounts. My concerns for the strut/spring combo is that the car won't be low enough and that I will have buy coilovers anyway. The only person I have talked to said KYB GR-2 with Tanabe springs were comfortable but the front wasn't low enough but I think that could be solved with RCAs from Figgs engineer. Budget of about $850 here is a pic of the car if the will help
I am leaning towards the Megan EZ coilovers because of the rubber insulators and the adjustability. I just hope the ride as well as everything I have read about. Not its time to find out who has the best prices. Thanks and keep the input coming!!
Nice stance and I don't mean (stanceworks).. and you are running 18's?? I wanted to run 17's but even 18" look small.. I have seen 19's and 20's but NJ roads won't be too kind on a daily driver.
May need to go back to the drawing board on the wheel size.

Yeah I'm runnin 18s, I think they're a nice happy medium. They look pretty decent and tires for them arent that hard to find, couple weeks ago picked up some PilotSports for only $200 80% left!

That's always a god plus.. Mine is finally lowered on KYB and Aristo TOMS Imported springs but my situation is now my rear toe adjustments are out of whack. Dangerous in the wet especially over transitions and switching lanes.. Very darty.. I looked at the posts and before I plop down $$ for rear adjustable toe arms, Can a competent alignment shop actually adjust rear toe back into spec?
I've ridden in mainly strut/spring combo cars and had my own supra with them, with my GS I wanted to step it up so I picked up some max VIP (PoweredByMax). I think it rides great, a bit stiff but so controllable and handles great.
