Default Newbie just came across...

I think this was a GREAT bit of info for me as well as those in the CL who didn't want to ask what may see to be a DUMB/SILLY question out loud in regards to the differences in the JZ series engines check this out...

Not if you are not an engine guy or if you bought the car for the luxury and look aspect of things. I just started doing my homework on them and weighing the pros and cons of adding a single turbo or going on and transplanting the GTE engine. That's all I was getting at.

easier to drop a aristo front end in turboing a non turbo always costs more than what toyota orginally designed twin turbod

I have heard this and in the longrun I concur but I still wonder why I hear people say make the drop but then go from the twins to a big single, is this just so you can add more horses since the engine is already turbo ready?

not true even with the twins you can still crack 400HP with the correct BPU's

**** I want to try both ways when I can afford it ... wouldn't mind having a garage full of "BEASTS"
