Default Failed Transmission, Rebuild or Scrap?

I expect to have a failed transmission out of a 94 Lexus GS300 on my hands soon. It was slipping badly, then not responding at all. Thanks to Nixspeed I have a healthy used transmission to replace it with so I don't need the broken one.

I'm wondering, is it rare enough that I ought to make it available for someone to rebuild? Or just let the mechanic scrap it.

Jay Scott.

Glad I could help. Id post it up but don't expect much. Scrap may be a better option.

I saw it was delivered yesterday. Was everything still OK? Mufflers weren't damaged were they?

Assuming we're talking about the NA Auto tranny, 300 rwhp seems like the safe limit. More and they dont last long. YMMV.

There are several companies that can build them to hold more power though.
