if you do the LS400 brake swap, just get RCA's and DO NOT shave the caliper or your balljoint stud. that's just asking for trouble

I shaved mine and works perfect. Its cheaper and easier than rca. Just gotta be careful. I have a set already shaved if anyone wants to buy them.

I was unaware ls400 calipers needed to be shaved for our cars. Is this just for the rear calipers or front also too?

Its only the front. Worthwhile budget upgrade. There is many posts on here with all the pros/cons I suggest searching if you're interested in doing it.

Chrome trim is universal - you can get them on eBay for cheap!

Haven't updated this thread in the while!

Car was dipped a couple months ago, wanted it as a business vehicle to showcase my work

Was tired of my sunken wheel setup, didn't want to trouble of getting camber adjusted and buying control arms so I bought 35mm spacers for all 4 wheels

My stock Canadian instrument cluster was pretty much dead, so I picked up this American one. I purchased it a couple months ago, and was waiting until the km->miles conversion matched up then I put it on
It came with LEDs too!

Did a bit more fender rolling and pulling

Windows were tinted last week, 5% on all 5 rear windows

Picked up Garson DAD curtains and an NRG steering wheel

Decided to snap this picture while it was really dark and foggy outside

As she sits presently

I have a lot of goodies coming my way, notably Aristo tail lights and a front lip waiting to be picked up

Good looking car buddy. Did the 20s fit on without any issues?

Good looking car. Any alignment issues, after that massive lowering, 20's and wheel spacers?

New set of wheels, and even lowered even more!

Installed a short ram intake a week ago

Some fender rolling done as well

The new wheels were test fitted
What kind of rims are those? What are you riding on now?

Yeah there were alignment issues after dropping the car a ridiculous amount, the settings were messed all over the place

The wheels are Avant Garde m368, in 19s

The 35mm spacers really widened the turning radius, car handled like *****

Anyways, in terms of updates - car was written off after being in an accident a few months ago, but insurance company paid it out really well.
I'll probably still be in the 1GS game, as my grandparents are in possession of a minty '96 GS with less than 100k KMs on the clock (60k miles?) and I'll be looking forward to taking it from them when they decide to get rid of it
