I hope one day this forum wakes up and people realize how great a ride the usdm 91-97 gs300 really is. I mean this car has class, nostalgia in a very 90's hip hop kind of way, and is a ton of fun to drive. im not really performance focused on my car but i have to say over the past year of owning it or so i have completely fell in love with it. i currently have the mod bug and can't keep well enough alone. if these headers are a direct bolt on fit, i'm in. i've been researching the supra tt rotors/calipers and they seem like they are the next logical step after the headers. what a great mod! Any word on the headers would be appreciated!

Your right, our cars have a ton of class! Not in the means of OBX header upgrades, but i'm talkin pure Toyota racing development in a motor that came stock... the 2jzgte! Go turbo!!

i knew i would get heat for the obx headers lol but for $200 shipped...why not? better sound? good looks and slight performance increase as in 1% increase in horsepower. I agree turbo is better but im not committed to spent that type of money for now...

You will lose your cat with OBX. I had them on my V6 Eclipse. Dont expect the bolt holes to line up perfect, and the second you start the car, they are hot enough to burn you bad. Got the burns to prove it. With the added cost of about $200 for a high flow cat to be welded in to pass emissions, it can bring that price up to 400. Thats almost half the price of a 1jz. Imo, not really worth it to me unless you have other power upgrades that beg for more exhaust flow.

I will say if your okay with all of that^^^ then go for it! We need more modded first gen GS300s out here. You dont really have to do the 2jzgte swap, but I come from crappy platforms (ahem, 3rd gen eclipse) where boosting is only for those ready to spend $5000 only to end up with 300 hp on FWD with severe wheel hop, cracked dash, a turning radius worse than a school bus, and depreciation value lower than our 20 year old cars. Just keep doing research on what you want. Supra tt calipers are great, but if your cash is short, LS400 calipers are a great cheap alternative. Do your thing!

I live in NY and because it's a 94...I don't need the cats. Can you elaborate on getting burned though? i'm confused lol. Will I be handling something hot? im lost. So for me, the mod would cost me $200 for the headers and maybe $100 to install. I may be able to get supra tt calipers and rotors for a decent price too

Just implying that they get a hell of alot hotter than the stock exhaust does. And if you spend alot of time under the hoods of cars, this can be a problem at times. And also try your best to keep all wires away to prevent any fires. If you dont work on your own cars, getting accidently burnt isnt any concern at all.

You are lucky. I cant run without cats until 2018 lol.
Do you plan on getting an aftermarker exhaust too?
