Just wondering why you used the 96 harness? 93-early 95 is OBD I and some late 95 (kinda rare) -97 is OBDII, normally OBDII has more sensors being the more advanced diagnostic system. My point is that the wiring harness might have a different pinout on the ECU plug, so if you used a 96 harness on a 93 ECU some wires might be plugged into the wrong pins on the ECU.

I also have a 93 gs300 and I swapped in a 96 2jzge. All I did was swap the throttle body from the 93 motor (since my gs has TRAC) to the 96 motor and used my old 93 harness, ECU and Transmission.

ok so the 96 motor has a crank psition sensor and the 93 harness does not have that plug?

i got my old motor in the garage,

if i swap the throttle body, ecu, maf, and the harness to the 93 this should do it?
