JZS147 led tail lights conversion
I know more than one person on this section of club lexus has watched this video on youtube:
and ended up saying "oh *****! i want a set, where do I get some?!?!"
well I will be answering your prayers. I have electronics technology background experience, as much as I have patience on my free time, for this reason, I decided to pick up on this project, because I think it looks awesome, so now, what i want you guys to do is to post up on this thread letting me know if you would be interested in getting them made, of course a price can be negotiated, I can't shoot out a price yet because I don't know a rough estimate of how much I'll be spending in materials, or how much time I will spend getting a set of tail lights done. By next week I'll be receiving a set of old gs300 tail lights I left at my old house and once i do I will get started on cutting and soldering and all that good stuff. by the way, i don't want the mods to think this is a for sale post or anything similar, I will EVENTUALLY do a diy step by step but i can't promise that anytime soon, as I am attending college and working two jobs. I will keep you guys posted on the progress however. i searched all over the damn internet and all i found was people saying that these tail lights could only be found through yahoo! japan and a lot of searching, and well honestly none of us want to sit there and go through a translator and take so long to find them and probably for a lot of money, so I'm gonna try my best to make more than one set of these and make them easier to get here in the states (honestly i highly doubt anyone has the actual set on the video here in the states) but anyways, cheers and wish me luck!

eh, to be honest with you those look like something I'd buy at an autozone. however, i could make it happen with enough research, that would leave the reverse lights useless though!

What do you mean by "traditional blinkers"? You all know the lights are being controlled which is why they are doing those patterns? They can be setup to be "traditional" as well.
There are quite a few people in the US that do these as well as countless guys in Japan. I did some cornerlights for a previous car as well as all the interior lights. Its definately a project that I don't have the patience for. Hence the reason people charge around 1000$ to have them done. Doing them yourself (if you have the know how-and its not that hard) is the way to go, so OP you're on the right track.
Good luck!
Just looked at the date on the orignial post
