OBD scanner for GS1??? Check Engine Light Code?
Check light popped on, I'm thinking it's for the alternator. Just wondering how I could diagnosis it myself.

You think you have a code for an alternator on obd1???? never heard of that one.
your scanner is a paperclip jumped to te1 and e1 on the diagnostic port
