Default 120,000 Tune Up

In January it will be time for me to get my 120,000 mile tune up. I don't even know if there is any such thing. If not I'm just going to tell them to do the 60,000 all over again. Does anyone have any suggestions, helpful hints, etc. I think I will go to a Lexus dealership, but I am on a law student's budget. (possibly a Toyota dealership?).

Thanks,
Kareem

I'm a law student also, so I know the pain of your budgetary limitations. Are you a 1L, 2L, or 3L? What area of law are you thinking of practicing in? I'm a 2L and after I graduate and pass the bar, my friends and I will open up a firm near downtown L.A. PI, immigration law and whatever else interests us. It will be fun!

Well, back to your car. Have you replaced your timing belt yet? If not, you should do so. Also, change the plugs, cap & rotor, plug wires, tranny & diff. fluid. You should change the fuel filter too, I don't care if the Lexus dealer says it is a lifetime filter, it is bound to get clogged.

Any other suggestions?

Actually I'm kind of jumpin' the gun. I'm not even a 1L yet, but I'm supposed to start at the University of Miami in the Fall. However, in trying to save for school and pay off my massive credit card bills I am already feeling the pressure. I'm not sure what type of law I want to practice, because every time I'm exposed to a different type of law I change my mind. I think it's just pre-law school enthusiasm. I'll probably settle down with intellectual property.

Thanks for the tips on the car. Does anyone have those Denso plugs in their car. I've been hearing good things.

If no one is swearing by them I will probably just go with whatever the dealership says, because with this car I'm not really concerned with hp and torque. I had Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in my Mustang GT and they were cool, maybe a 2-5 hp gain.

I heard that Bosch plugs don't work too well on our cars. I have heard the Denso plugs are pretty good. At least get stock.
