Want to do LS400 BBS
Whats up CL members I have a couple of questions on this LS400 Big Brake Setup
I'm looking into getting this done on my car I'm still noobish to this stuff but love working on my car now they say that the stock wheels wont do when upgrading the brakes.....I have 1998 stocks on my car will it still work???
What all do I really need when getting this done and if anybody knows a place to get the items cheap it would be appreciated??
I also read that the rear calipers have to be shaved down is that something I can do or should i get it professionally done or was it just false information
and lastly will everything bolt on like its supposed to or will there be some modifications required
and if there are mods required are there any brake kits that are direct bolt ons that are bigger and clear my stocks
lol thanks for the help in advance

if you don't wanna shave the caliper or the castle nut down, look into getting a set of roll center adapters, it'll lower the vehicle, so only look into those if you have a set of coilovers that you can adjust to make the front the same height as the rear

You can always look for the parts in classifieds, at the junkyard (wont know if they work until you install or are able to test them are the yard) or buy new (refurbished) from Toyota.
You'll need the calipers, rotors, pads, shim kit, spring, stainless lines optional.
LS400 like said above require the mentioned parts to be ground down where as the Supra TT brakes are a direct bolt on.
LS calipers are lighter, rotors are slightly smaller but heavier, cheaper, less brake pad options. TT brakes are bigger, heavier calipers/lighter rotors, more stopping power, more aftermarket options and more expensive.
As far as wheels go. you wont be able to use your OEM one with Supra brakes and I dont know about LS brakes. I just bought supra wheels to clear for winter use. But I think OEM GS400 17" wheels clear same with the 18" GS430 wheels, and obviously supra wheels . But the wheels will probably have to be at least 17" with med-high disc
