Default Programing 95 GS300 Key Issue

Hi Guys, does anyone know how to program the oem gs key with the button on the side? My original key I had is damaged. I got another one but don't want to go to the dealer.

not going to happen. I called our key company we use at my shop and he said I have to go to the dealer and they will have to switch out some computer part. I called the dealer and confirmed this and was told it would be cheaper and a better option to get an a/m alarm system installed

Thanks for your input. I was thinking of getting a used oem key and trying to program it on my own or follow some instructions from online.

Going to dealer is a given to re program a key. But there are a very small handful of locksmith's and automobile key makers who CAN program the key. Those people have the right hardware and software to do so. It's a matter of syncing it with either your ignition switch or engine ECU. Most cars its syncing with ECU. Can't remember for first gen GS is ignition switch or ecu. If it was ignition switch, you should of got the original ignition switch that went along with the key.

This should shed some light on the subject. Don't get discouraged. It's really not as difficult as you may think...

as you can see it would be a better option for an a/m alarm system that would make your vehicle more secure than just having the factory system back in operation

If you got the am alarm and still have the oem one button key, get back to me.
Thanks, Bluejay427
