I am planning on removing the stock sub and I don't want to damage to sub cover. I appreciate any help and instructions, thanks. 95 GS300

Thanks, I also think it pops out but not sure what side pops out? Don't want to pull the wrong way and break it.

Yeah a pulled mine out not too long ago it not to hard pulling it out when the back seat is out also. Its harder to put the cover back in my opinion. Just be careful either way, I put a hairline crack in my 3rd breaklight housing....

The sub cover has plastic pins that are secured with metal round push on clips. the only way to get the grill off without breaking any pins and to resecure the grill so it won't rattle is to remove the rear seats and the whole shelf trim.

with a small flat screwdriver you bend back the tabs on the clips to remove them. then bend them back to reinstall them..... a bit of a pain to do it right but worth it.

be careful popping it out. the plastic becomes VERY brittle and breaks/cracks easily.
