searched but just cant find, trac light problem
my 1994 gs300 trac light has been coming on in strange occurrences recently, for a week it didnt come on and actually the traction control worked perfectly. Then one day i end up with a flat, so i change out the rim and put on the spare, after driving for a little the trac light started coming on after 5 minutes of driving, even with the flat fixed and the rim back on it still does it. i launched her in low on a wet slippery road to check and when the trac light is off and i start to spin the tires, the tac light blinks and stops the power, but when the trac light is solidly on, it doesnt work watsoever, obviously the parts that must make the system work are fine because it works, im thinking a sensor but im not sure at all,
anyone had this problem or anything similar?
thanks

I have been also experiencinig this on my 95 gs300. It coems and goes intermittenly. It works when the light is off, but when its on, no trac control.
Today it was off 50% of the day. Yesterday all day no light...it truly has a mind of its own.
I bet its a sensor or wire somewhere. Please post here if there are any update on this matter.

I thought that but found no codes at all. I have the OBD1 computer, so not as good as OBD2 I guess. I also never had the Check Engine light on either, but thought that it could still store a code but still found nothing.

On each wheel hub assembly there should be a magnetic pick up sensor(wheel speed sensor), check and see if there are any partially torn wires(should be 2 wires each sensor), or loose continuity. I believe these are for the ABS, but they are also utilized in TRAC control.
I have seen a document 1 year ago, but I can't find it. It broke down the TRAC system for our vehicles. The closest I could find right now(@wrk) is this one from a toyota Camry explaining how the system works and what sensors the system uses. They also compare this systems setup and operation with the supra's TRAC control setup and operation.(closely related to our GS300)

Let us know what you find.

i checked for codes on mine as whell, by bridging e1 and te1, and the check engine light blinked steadily (meaning no codes) trac works maybe 45% of the day, but then light will go on until i restart car
