also changed the o rings for the water pump's outlet into the head, the inlet to the block, the injector o rings, and also found out i need a new trans pan gasket, which isn't bad i thought my trans cooler line was snapped, also what's the deal with sway bar links? i bought a set from ebay and one of them came without a stud and the other one without either a bolt or a nut i can't remember, but i contacted another seller and they told me his sway bar links come with no studs, so I'm debating on just getting these from the dealer together with their bolts and nuts just to be extra sure

So guys! here's the veredict:

good news: i put the engine together, i got a new (used) radiator, and after trying to jump the battery countless times i claimed my warranty at advanced auto parts, so i got a new battery. and the car started up just fine and it actually sounded pretty good, fired up after the first crank.

bad news: there's something leaking, and i'm 95% sure it's gas, from the area by the egr valve, besides that, the trans pan gasket is still due for a change so i'll be doing these two tomorrow, and also possibly a picture after the car wash.

even though there's a leak and i had to put the intake manifold and radiator on with the blistering sun on my back, i'm happy as ***** because the car started plus i got a brand new battery for free lol

well i haven't been here in ages so i guess i should catch up for whoever is still following. I decided not to use the body kit but instead im going to get an aristo front nose cut and re paint the inside all black, with all the window reg switches shaved down to silver. after legit one month of asking people to troubleshoot my car i said f it and I'll just do it myself, new plugs wires rotor and dizzy cap solved the misfire, and the crappy cold start up is because the connector to the engine temp sensor fell apart. while I been focusing on getting the engine running properly instead of getting rims and such i realized i have a lot of work, and i might need an exorcist for this gs (lol) so once everything is running decently i want to start the engine mods but nothing ridiculous, all i want is fast throttle response and a comfortable ride.

I'm having a hard time deciding in between supra brakes or ls430 brakes, and also debating on whether i should fo the 7m cps conversion or not..
but anyways guys I will update in a couple weeks with all the progress, if you guys have any advice on what to do/get as in performance upgrades to have a quick throttle response and such please chime in, because everyone that i ask just tells me to get rid of the bucket -__- cheers.

Lol I feel you on mods. Nothing much you can do about throttle response because its a conventional cable throttle but you can make the engine rev faster by swapping out a lighter flywheel and pulleys. And you should go with Supra brakes.

I can get a rebuilt set for 150 but why not the ls calipers? Do I have to have the rca's to fit them or do I grind them like the ls calipers?

Alright so long story short I junked the gs and didn't even have a chance to keep the head and other goodies but I kept my aristo tails and fogs and arp studs to do it all over again as soon as I find a decent priced running gs in good conditions.... since then I bought a 93 legacy station wagon and been rocking it since. Patiently awaiting this other gs, so see y'all in a few months
