Default 93-95 tailights

As some of you guy's here know, i have a 96 Gs300 and im not digging the rear tailights... so im in the market for the 93-95 tailights. I was wondering if i do the conversion will my tail lamp light on the dash light up? if not, is this a direct plug and play application, harness wise and bolt lining up...

Just try it I say. Before you complete the swap just do a test fitting.

First off, you will need to modify the key hole for the trunk because of the difference in the location. Secondly, your tail lamp failure light will light on because the 93-95 have two bulbs for the stop lights and the 96-97 have only one.

chaser, now you got two opinions, whatchagonnado? Cop out cuz someone said no? Why mod something if you're not going to try. I'm sure its been done, you probably couldn't find any threads on it because its simple. 93-95 have two bulbs and 96-97 have just one. So, connect just one, and splice the rest.

Ok guys so i ended up putting the aristo taillights on the car.... had to extend the key lock rod 2 inches to the right.. it was plug and play and i dont have no tail lamp failure... even wit the jdm bulbs that are currently in their..
car looks soo much better with them... **** the 96-97 tailights

I would buy your kouki lights in a heartbeat. Wit a lil modification I can make them look good. Let me know if you still have them
