If it can be done with a Civic (I've seen it), it surely can be done with our heavy boats. The Civic I saw was pulling this nifty little camper trailer big enough for two peoples...

UHaul screwed me over yet again! Paid $60 for 3 day shipping and went in to get it installed and they told me it would be 3 weeks to deliver the hitch.

I ended up using the tow brackets that come with the car. I bought an old hitch off craigslist and took it to a welding shop. We cut the ends off and placed new box iron inside and welded the ends to those tow brackets.

I took a small trailer with a motorcycle and about 500lbs of crap 600 miles into the woods. The hitch worked great!

Just leaving this for anyone else out there that needs to tow.

$30 for the hitch
$40 for the welding.

UHaul price $375 installed.

haha well, I wasn't beating on her but I'll tell you i went through some mountains and didn't have any trouble.

I did keep the transmission in the "power" mode as the tranny was my biggest concern. But she did fine

Sure wish I had your stick and new engine !!!

I am quite ecstatic for this, I would also be a little concerned and take that Auto super easy.. They really don't take too much abuse unless you freshen them up and keep it maintained.

I never got the chance to tow with mine so I always wondered how the car would do, but with this new motor I can't wait to head to the dunes! Should be having more progress soon :P

Default Selling my hitch

If anyone needs a hitch hit me up. I no longer need mine. It bolts right up to the removed rings underneath the tail bumper. I can post some pics later.
Thanks

I am interested in buying the hitch but I want to make sure it can be installed in a 2019 Lexus ES 350 without modifications or just minor modifications.

My 2021 ES 350 Ultra Lux has the lateral stability damper and the kick sensor that may physically obstruct a hitch installation. I want to install a hitch for a bike rack and called U-Haul and they say they can install a Draw-Tite CQT36643 on the ES 350 Ultra Lux. Has anyone had U-Haul install a hitch on your 2019 to 2022 ES 350 Ultra Lux?

Hello,

This is a forum section for a 1993-1997 GS300, here is a section for your car.

If you are only planning on using a hitch for bike mount, it may be easier to find roof racks for your car, which won't come with so many clearance issues. You can also call up a local dealership and ask their advice, maybe there is already a solution available.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
