Default HIDs in the Fog Lamps

to the ones who have put HIDs in the fog lamps: when you have them on, is it really bright from a distance, like would they blind other drivers? or would they just direct the light downwards and not bother anyone?

reason im asking is cause i have seen a few cars with this mod and they are so blinding!! i dont want to **** off other drivers. but maybe they had crappy fog lamps...

damn! damn! damn! i wanted to do this. but now idk. what about reg yellow fog bulbs? or wil lthe yellow tint wear off over time? cause i have replaced them in 2nd GS's that were stock with yellow fogs and the bulb (from lexus) was yellow but it also had a yellow lens in the fog lamp.

i really wanted to put hids in my fogs!!!

A little tip here:

The higher the intensity the less blinding they will become.

Get 8K, 10K, 12K or 15K: they will look cool and not be as blinding as lower intensity.

Even tough the colors vary by kit manufacturer, here is a chart:

Hope this helps

NOTE: BY NO MEANS I AM ADVERTISING ANYONE. The chart is for reference.

Somebody on here did a DIY. He took JDM fogs with the yellow reflector in them, and transplanted it to the USDM ones. If you dont like the yellow film thats made, you can always try clear yellow Tamiya hobby paint. Just roll it on evenly and the more coats the darker. I never clearcoated mine but I used a power buffer and shined them up a little bit and they look good for what they are.

I think is easier to buy Nokya Yellow H3 bulbs since you get the same results with less hassle
