about to go turbo couple ???s
ok i have a 93 gs300 that im about to swap an aristo engine into. I have read all up on what is involved in the swap and am ready to do it. I want to get a whole front clip and swap everything over. I have a few questions i wanted to ask. First of all has anyone ever heard of tigerautoparts.com and know if they are a reputable place to get this from? http://www.tigerautoparts.com/2jz-gt...00-aristo.html What water pump do i use? and besides having to extend wires, new supra throttle cable, banging the firewall in for the turbo, relocating ps resevior, using aristo radiator, and of course basic tune-up with timing belt, what else do i need to know to do this swap. Any feedback will help thanks. Also is it better to drop the engine in from the top or drop the car down onto the engine?

I dont know anything about tigerjapan.
Im biased towards the hydro pump because I ran it on my supra. I think it moves the most air hands down... factory or aftermarket. But I would tell you to swap out the hydro pump for the regular clutch fan. Simply because if the hydrofan goes down, u have to go thru a lot to source another one. Plus the hydrofan has its own ECU that you have to connect to various sensors. And new I heard the pump is $800 from Toyota.
P.S.-- If u don decide to go clutch fan, sell me the hydrofan setup.
If swapping the tranny also, make sure you swap the JDM tranny ECU also. I had a friend that swapped everything (motor & ecu, tranny) but didnt swap tranny ecu. Car ran decent and would boost slightly when it wanted. All was fixed when proper tranny ecu was used.

yo what did you pay for the motor and all components. I'm considering the same move and not real sure on the difference between swapping the motor for a j-spec or just adding a turbo to the existing motor. I've seen jdm motor complete ecu, wiringharness , downpipe ect for $2100. Any info you have I'd really appreciate.
