Default hard start/drives horrible

Alright turbo guys, well, just put in my 550cc fuel injectors in and runs rich at first of course, lean it lean out a bit at idle and low throttle open, good enough to get back home to get a dyno tune. The thing is it doesn't have a problem when i first start the car at the begining of the day, but say like if i went to a gas station and turn off my car and when i come back, i stuggles to start, sometimes takes up to 3 mins to get started? I don't have a v8 maf sensor, i think that might be the problem and the set up i have is t04e turbo(9psi), tt fuel pump, 550cc injectors. --MIC.

Wouldnt the ECU just relearn the low fuel map since your in it so much? I know the SAFC helps when giving full throttle, but I always assumed that there was no point in tuning the low throttle. On my SAFC2 I just have the hi throttle tuned, and I have to give it 100% for it to correct anything. I have the lo throttle set to like 95 percent so it doesnt even affect anything.
Then again..Im not turbo.

low thr 30% high thr 70% goes something like this low throttle setting are like

500 1000 1500 2000 2500 3000 3500, ect

-20 -20 -15 -15 -15 -10

It runs ok now and idles fine now, before i head to the dyno this friday. I didn't mess with the high thr settings, but the main concern is that why is it having a problem starting all of a sudden, is it still pretty rich or what? --MIC.

If the low thr is set at 30% then there is no correction at idle for the 550's. Set it at 0 and see if that helps. The AFC is not the ideal solution.

yeah, it was between 460cc and 550cc, i guess i should have went with the smaller injectors, but would a v8 maf help the situation a little? thanks, by the way. --MIC.

It wont help the situation, but common sense says "more air + more fuel = more power", or so thats what Ive heard. And that only applies at the right mixture of the two, which is where the AFC comes in.

yeah, but for what hp goals i want i could have got the 460cc injectors and would have been good. I thought i would have been alright without the v8 maf, it's not like hp goal was over 400, it's only a good 340, like i said i thought i would be ok without the v8 maf, Well, any body know the size of the rx-7 injectors turbo II, cause be the one i got, i think they were 550cc. Kaiser, i set the low throttle open back down to 0s at idle, that didn't work out so well, plenty of black smoke was coming out my exhaust, so i left it at -20 at idle, didn't fill my garage with black smoke after that. O well, i guess i just have to wait this friday to head to the dyno and see my a/f ratio. --MIC.

No, the throttle point was to be 0 not the setting. If it's 30% throttle low, that means it doesn't take your settings into effect until the throttle is 30% depressed.

ok, got back from the dyno today and the car runs fine under low throttle, but at WOT the a/f ratio was under 10, now 11.4,but the car is popping for some reason and not letting get anywhere? I was wondering if the map ecu could be able to run my 550cc injectors or would the v8 maf would do the job. I was hoping to run 11 psi or 330-340, whatever came first. Also, if anybody have a e-manage, please let me know if you are selling it. --MIC

how about using the smaller injectors.. or if you have a aermotive AFPR ,lower the fuel pressure to make the larger injectors flow a little less.

id be for the smaller injectors because safcs dont do too well whren you have too much injector compensation going on (been there, done that..im a DSM guy )

MAP ECU could do it. I have no experience with them.
