Default My aristo back form the track.

Hey,

What do you guys think of these mustang rims? They are wrapped with 275/45/17 M/T Et streets radials

They are cobra R rims however, they are a little too big and if you look closely you'll see where the car squated too hard and rubbed the tires. Mind you the car is not lowered at all yet.

Over all i think the rims suit the car if I can find a better offset...

What do you think?

My aristo is simple BPU.

Emanage/E01 18 PSI, 3" dp, to a dual 2.5" to the stock mufflers to keep things quite.

Also have a set of HID's and a cold air intake.

I went 13.6 @ 103 MPH. My trans is starting to slip on me need to modify the accumulators and change the tranny fluid.

Quite happy with the aristo so far!!

Some pics

I would take those rims over stock rims any day of the week. They are very close the gs430 rims.

Yeah, the rims look good.

So with 279rwhp you got a 13.6, thats not bad, not bad at all. Thats only like 20-30 more whp that 350z's and they run what...13.8 or 13.9, maybe 13.7 with an excellent driver, so Id say you should be pretty happy with those numbers. How did the tires work out for you, had you ever run without them before and what kind of time did you do then? Im guessing you had traction, 275s have a nice contact patch.

EDIT: Just remembered..what does your cold air intake look like?

Sweet! The wheel looks good

I think with the right tire sizes you can get it to look and fit proper.

hah I think my best 60 was a 2.0, I had over 20 PSI of air in there, first time using DR's problem was I don't have a LSD and it's smoking up one side! haha... Strangly enough my 13.6 came on my first run with the STOCK 16" tires on hahahaha. I pulled a 2.1 60 i think.
But to be fair I think my trans was giving up on me so tires arn't to blame. First to 2nd gear it takes about 3-4 seconds to engage... It sits at 5k then boom hits and rpms drop and car pulls hard again, so i'm going to shim the actuators in my spare trans and throw on a cooler, and change the fluid, and that should last me.

As for the 279 whp, actually that was at 14PSI, i think it's closer to 320-340 WHP at the 18 PSI setting, since i was trapping 103-104 with the slipping trans and the car tiped the scales at just under 3600lbs without me and 3/4 tank of gas!

LIGHTER THEN MY DAMN SUPRA! hahah. Which came in at 4002 with me and a speaker box.. I'm 175lbs so..

As for the rims, they are strictly drag rims for now since i only have 2... I was thinking of putting my mk4 rims on but now, i'd rather put the drags on the mk4 rims, and buy 2 more cobra rims and put them on the front and just ride around like that and put in a set of coilovers.

yeah SM and SF.

thanks GS300pnp

Hopefully, i can cut a 12 next time i'm out with the trans fixed up, also I may disconnect the stock mufflers and put on some down aimed pipes so it's just a 3" cat as the exhaust restriction at the track.

Man, 12s would be awesome. 320whp may or may not put you there, but it would be awesome for sure.
Everytime I say this something comes up and pushes my goal back and back and back, but hopefully I will have enough funds by Christmas to get everything done(turbo). Im aiming for low-mid 13s, so from what you said, with the slipping transmission, hopefully I will be there. I just overhauled all the essentials(sp?) on the car....transmission flush, oil flush, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, timing belt, water pump, acc. belt, gonna do the radiator(sp again?) because it has a few small cracks, and then hopefully after that Im good to go for another 120K miles.

yep direct fit...
another good choice is the 94-96 mustang 15" if you want full slicks on it.

Well i think it will be quite a bit more if i drop the stock mufflers. prob 360-380 WHP.
