Default Changed radiator and t-stat... still hot.

I have changed the radiator and the thermostat and she still runs hot. What could it be?

Exclamation

Let your car idle until it gets hot..Lightly touch the upper radiator hose it will be hot and then touch the lower hose..If the lower hose isn't as hot as the upper then you have to replace your waterpump..While your there you might as well replace the fan clutch and timing belt..

I turn on the A/C and the fan does come on. Could a bubble be the problem?

No I meant the clutch fan could be going. Yes there could be a bubble in the system but it should work it's way out fairly quickly. When was the timing belt/waterpump changed last?

Does the temp just keep rising while the engine runs? I think it's pointing at waterpump . Sounds like it's time for a timing belt too. You'll be in that far anyway. Or just a GTE swap.

Alright... don't laugh.

I needed to "burp" the entire system. There was an inadequate amount of antifreeze in it, I was being inpatient and not refilling the system, and didn't check the amount of antifreeze with the cap off.

Needless to say I got the car to run hot turned on the heat in the car and refilled the radiator as needed. I called the guy I bought the car from and he said I have the reciept from the last "tune-up" and it was six months ago and on the invoice was timing belt, water pump, and fan switch.

All is right with the world now.

thanks everybody.
