Smile Cloudy headlights

I want to replace my cloudy headlights (94' GS 300)
Can they just be removed and cleaned? Does any body else have this problem? What's the best thing to do? I'm guessing the heat from the lights helped to cloud the fixture...
I want them to be clear and shiny like the new GS! (I could be asking for 2 much!)

I used 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper and polished the heck out of them with hand glaze. They look like new.

i do the same thing that eg8 does, wet sand them with fine sandpaper. It works pretty good, but make sure you keep the surface wet and the paper, then use a wax or polish.

you can clean them up on the inside to really easy I think someone from the SC forms did a complete write up on it on how to take apart the lights and polish and clean the inside as well I did this on my old lights and they came out like new and they were cloudy on the outside and yellow on the inside.

I also had him flushed my tranny ,rear dif, fuel injection and changed my fuel filter I recommend this type of service for all this made a good car run smooth

Wink Cloudy headlights

Thanx for the info Grey. I know the area (Sunset?)...I'll check it out. I've been concerned about finding a good place to take the car since I just got it about 3 weeks ago...out of state. NYC has been rough on Baby!

I have a 93 GS 300...Only one of my headlights ended up being cloudy (the left one if memory serves) and I've seen the same thing happen in the rare event that I run across another first gen GS. Does anyone know if there's any particular reason that this happens? If so, would replacing it with a newer part alleviate the problem? ---->I will try cleaning it, however. Thanks for the tip.
