Default How to make it more quiet?

Just bought a 1996 GS300. It is normally quite quiet. I changed the rims from its orginal to second hand 17" rims from a newer model (may be 2002) of ES300 with Falken Ziex ZE-512 Tires. It makes the car slightly noisy and any suggestion for me to make the car more quiet.
Thanks man.

Cool

YES, change the tires, Tread pattern can be quite noisy. Or you could dynamat the vehicle.

turbogs basically summed up all you can do. I find that Michelin tires give the most quiet ride.

As for dynamating your car(sound deadening), i did this also, but it was for a different reason. The reason I did it was for sound quality in my sound system. I have 2-4 layers of dynamat in the following area.

Entire floor
doors
rear deck
trunk
trunk lid
spare tire area
gas tank

basically i did the entire car except for the roof. I also used this yellow expanding foam you can get at home depot in every single crack and that totally stops all the rattleing when the bass hits and it also absorbs all road noise. Basically the only part in my car that makes noise when i drive are either the passenger side window or driver side window. But if i roll them both down just a tiny bit it is almost dead silent.

Wow, amazing.
I wish I can do this but I am in Hong Kong. I'm afraid that it would be difficult to get the dynamat from home depot here. There is sound deadenling service available from some service garage here but it covers only the foor and doors. Does it make a lot of difference without the others?

Thanks.

I personnaly wouldn't use Dynamat. Its just overpriced. Used a brand name Raammat(spelling?) its much cheaper and its thicker too.
