Default No light on tach needle??

My friend's mom just bought a 1st gen gs300. The light on her tach needle does not work for rpms or mph? How do I fix this? Thanks

This is a common problem. What happens is the light bulbs inside the needles die out. One route is to buy it from the dealer, but you have to buy the whole instrument cluster (a lot of $$$). Or you can buy replacement needles from Lextech (a Club Lexus sponsor) http://lextech.org/osCommerce/index....0f3c19cdd9e3c0

I have something going in, too...the middle 3rd of my speedo needle is actually flickering sometimes..Kinda neat to look at but I must not stare (crash)

LB, thanks for the link but it doesn't look like they sell any needles for the GS...do you know anyone who's tried them and put them on a GS ?
thanks

YES, the GS is the same as the SC , you have to send them the cluster as well.

Yes, I searched and it looks like OLT has some really cool stuff that's reasonably priced. Too bad you have to send them out, though, but I will when it completely dies...
thanks !

OLT has two sets of OEM needles for sale, check them out: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=143706 You won't need to send in your gauges, just buy the needles from him then install them.

I'm having the same problem and am interested in picking up a set of needles from OLT. I've replied to OLT's post about the needles, trying to find out what you need to do to install them. How involved is it? Have you done it? Help a newbie out!
