well i installed these today and they work great. Even with all the rammat/silicon on my trunk when i pop the trunk it pops up a little so you can get your hand under it and i just give it a little push and from there it goes up by itself. I'll post some pics and a write up on it tomarrow.

just to let you guys know.... make sure that the shocks come with all of the hardware. I found out while installing that I had a missing ball i was like damnit had to drive back and get one.
Install is fairly simple.... first prop up your trunk with something unless you want a nice lump on your head.
Then take a 12mm wrench and take off the strut at the trunk hinges.
Then go to the rear of which ever strut and move it around to get it off of the smooth bolt... i just slides off.
Then take the ball thingy the new shocks came with and screw it into the stock position on the trunk hinge... the bolt thread is the same but you'll need a 13mm wrench for it.
Now just slide it on in the rear and you'll have to find something to use as a stopper. I just used a zip tie and tied it around the shaft of that smooth bolt. It doesn't have to be strong it only keeps it from moving.

I live near a Pep Boys but I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to swing by when they are open. I'll post up as soon as I do. I am sick of my old trunk struts.

SACHS Lift-o-mat part number SG326003. Originally for the HOOD of an 86'-90' Acura Legend. You can get them at pep boys for ~$20 each or rockauto.com for $12.99 each. I looked at that ebay listed earlier and it looks to be the same one...I've had mine on the car since I firsted started this post and the paper clip is holding strong! No complaints

Dammit, how do these plastic circular things come off? I tried unscrewing one but it just turns and turns. I need to get the back panel off to access the other side of the trunk props.
