Hello all! Another fellow Iowan. I live in Center Point (approx. 15 min North of Cedar Rapids). I just purchase the last parts I needed to start my 5 speed swap. We have a shop and work mainly on 240sx's.
www.SLIDESTYLE.net
Mods I have done so far.........Blitz NurSpec R single exit cat-back exhaust. Just purchased...... ACT 6 Puck clutch, Greddy Titanium Shift ****, Tokico Blues w/ Espiler ASD springs.
Below are a few pictures of my baby, ignore the mismatched wheels. I was working on finding good offsets..........

sweet, so you guys over at slidestyle are working on learning the 1jz and 2jz-gte swaps into the sc right? cause i think there will be a few here in iowa interested in that and not wanting to take the car to chicago or kansas city, including me... also, how much did the parts cost for the 5-speed conversion?
All my parts for my 5 speed conversion cost.....
W58 transmission (including shift linkage, slave, hardline, crossmember) - $500
Driveshaft - $100
Master Cylinder - $Free (included w/ the transmission when shipped)
ACT 6 puck clutch kit - $330
OEM Flywheel / PP / disc / hardware - $150
Greddy Traditional Shift **** - $30
OEM 5 speed Shift bezel - $55
Total - $1,165 shipped
The hardest thing to find was the OEM flywheel/hardware. I could have gone through the dealership but would of had to pay $309 for the flywheel and over $50 for the hardware.
As the 5 speed swap progresses I will make a write-up on how it goes. Step-by-steps are always fun.

SC Drifter - I almost went with the Blitz Nur, but stayed with the stock-looking ovals, they look great though.
I do have several other things I want to do with the car, nothing cosmic (e.g, replace belt, flush tranny, replace the cats up front, etc..), but I haven't done this stuff on this car before and I don't want make a costly mistake anywhere. BTW, I also replaced my spark plugs (NGK platinums), plug wires (Bosch) and stock air filter replacement (K&N).
Maybe we should ransack SC Drifter's shop and make a day of it...whatch'all think?
BTW, what the heck is HIN, did I miss something?
