I only shave once a week. Twice if I have to look more presentable for an event.

Do they have the Fifty Cent Shave Club?

FYI Dollar Shave Club sources their razors from Dorco. You can buy your razors directly from Dorco on Amazon for much cheaper than what you are spending on Dollar Shave Club. The Dollar Shave Club is good for the convenience of your razors coming in every month without worrying about having to remember to order new razors but if your main objective is saving money your best best is just to buy the razors directly from Dorco.

No but you can get an old double edge razor that was made by Gillette and a hundred blades for $12-25. Which works out to each blade costing about .05 cent each AND you get to keep a REAL brass/ nickel plated(in some cases real gold or rhodium plated) razor that will last you fifty years. It's a myth that five blades will shave you better than one.
I have a while collection if them and each shave differently.
Gillette made millions of old double edge razor's and they are still in use today. One called a Fatboy and another a slim adjust the blade position by a a numbering system 1-9 thus determining the aggressiveness of any given shave according to a persons skin type. That's the beauty of an adjustable! Everyone's face is different and what works for you won't work for the next person. If you have sensitive skin a Gillette blue tip or flare tip is a VERY mild razor while the most aggressive is the modern razor made by Mule R41. NOT recommended for beginners. Trust me.
Then you have the millions of shave soaps and creams to choose from and all their various scents(every scent you can think of) that have the bare minimum ingredients that are a ton better for your skin than something from a can. Companies from Italy, Germany, England who have made shave soaps for over a hundred years such as Proraso, Cella, Mitchell's wool fat, Tabac, Tobs coconut cream, Taylors rose, Martin De Candrea($80 a jar) Truffet & Hill, Spieck, Klar Seifen, Halslinger etc..
Besides, what's cooler than asking your dad if he still has his old razor still. Be it a str8 or double edge many a men have razors handed down from their great grandfather. That's cool. I wish I did.
Some sites to browse
Both located in Los Angeles and they have brick & mortar stores.

John is top notch. ANYTHING wrong with your order and he's on it. Where else can you get service like that?

Damon is a stand up guy. Great store!
For you Canadians

^^Joe is a great guy.

A great GENTLEMENS site where one can gather more info is Badger & Blade. People of dubious character and being aholes get shown the door very quickly. People are respectful and helpful there. So any info on old school shaving interest you give it a visit. Be prepared to stay there Other topic if interest are there too. As I have said "I came there to learn how to shave but stayed for the company". Great place-like here. I'm rxonmymind there too
Pics are a few razors I have made by Gillette.

Default A new one

I was a member of dollar shave but found this place called YinYangShaveClub.com I order from them and when I got the first shipment I found they are the exact same razors as DSC sells. Crazy, cause they are a buck less per month. Plus I see they have name brands too. I guess a good deal can always be made better!

DSC is a good deal if you are into the cartridge razors but I have to agree with rxonmymind. I've been shaving with a de safety razor for 5 or 6 years now and love it. Since I have to shave everyday (military) its the best bang for my buck.
