appears online as in store only, and not showing any stores with it available (at least near my area)

edit: oh crap, I forgot, illegal to have in VA thus no one sells them locally

has anyone ever bought this before? I am currently in the market for a radar detector, and this is pretty good for the money base on specs, i just want to know if its hard to set up (if theres any), and is it durable?

Its essentially the same detector as the escort 8500 x50, rx65, x50 black, give or take a few features. Radartest.com has a comparison of the top detectors in specific price ranges. I have a 995, an x50, and an x50 black. I wish I knew about the 995 prior to buying the others. Fyi, most radio shacks are out of stock and no longer carry the brand, but overstock.com will price match.
