I just got a flyer mailed to me today from DELL BUSINESS with the following deal:
Intel Core 2 Duo (type not specified -- it was NOT a pentium dual-core processor)
Genuine XP Home or Vista Basic
1GB DDR2 RAM
160 GB SATA
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 - which should be capable of running Windows Aero interface (if you are considering an upgrade to Vista Premium or higher)
16X DVD+/-RW
1-yr limited warranty, Next business Day On-site service, and Hardware warranty support
19" E198WFP Widescreen LCD: link

The package is $449 after a $410 discount (regular price is $859)
Per DealDialer: Consider upgrading to 3 year warranty for $129 as Dell will return this to you in the form of DELL dollars. My take on a system this cheap is to skip the warranty altogether unless those DELL dollars are useful to you.
Im not sure if this is super slick, but based on reading a recent deal at SD, I think this is a pretty good deal on a Core 2 Duo system with a 19 inch LCD and DL DVD-burner for only 50 bucks more (the other deal gives a DVD-ROM drive and an inferior dual-core processor with only an 80 GB HD). The flyer says that this sale goes on from 11/5/2007-11/14/2007. According to the magazine, DELL is also offering free 3-5 day S/H on all of their systems.
Starting 11/5/2007, my guess is you will need to go to the Dell Small business website and input the e-value code I've mentioned above or click the following link

they are both proportionally good deals, the $450 one comes with 19 in monitor, moderate sized hard drive but no video card. The $600 comes with a 20 in monitor, large hard drive, video card, and others. You get to decide how much to spend really, both are GREAT deals because in the end, you have a core 2 duo processor... which are FAST
