I put a sata drive in to see what all was on it, as I have forgotten since it has been a while.

This thing is hacked nice, LOL. It has 3.55 CFW jailbroken with emulators, ftp, file managers, etc.

So if I bought a HD I can get it to work for Netflix or it works for netflix w/o one? I need one at my job.. If that's the case i'll talk to my boss and can pick it from you.

The PS3 needs a HD (sata) to boot up. it doesn't have to have files on it and can be any size, it just needs to be there to allow the system to boot. Once you try to use Netflix it will make you do a system update and wipe the jailbreak out permanently. It will work properly for netflix from there, but if you had any intent of using it for it's hacked value that would be over once it was updated.
