In New York you pay a Tax fee on the purchase price + a registration fee which I think is $65.

The tax is based off the Bills Of Sale price which is why people usually say they got their car cheap, $500, $1000, etc... so registration is cheaper. Depending on the value of the bill of sale entered, I'd assume $200-$400 considering average SC price is $2-4K, Florida Tax is lower then NY tax, but they might have a few extra fee's added on.

i got it done today after everything it came up to $286
after i got the registration i found out my battery is dead and it was bought 7/13
