Default Going E85 Cons?

Sup guys, I have been reading more into going the E85 route on my build and came across this article. Figured its some interesting reading for you guys on E85 or going E85 ect....

Unless you looking for serious horse power its not worth it. not many locations and e85 spoils quick and damages fuel system when left sitting.

Better yet, do you know why ? I Never said I did and not saying it was due to anything in the readings above. Just simply stating that a little more knowledge can go a long way

In SFLA, we dont have to worry about mixture as much it varies abour 5%. I love E85. Get it tuned right and maintain your car right.

I've been running E85 for about 1.5 years now in my SC with no real issues. Of course I did change/upgrade all fuel lines to teflon lined stainless. I would be careful with aluminum that is not anodized, being in constant contact with E85 - the alcohol can attack it after some time. If you're going to run aluminum bodied pumps in the tank, I would recommend they be alcohol compatible and anodized. I have no fuel pumps in my tank.

On the other hand, E85 is awesome - loads of boost and cheap!!!! With my flexfuel set-up I do not have to worry about mixture ratios - ProEFI takes care of that on the fly for me.
