Default Built Auto builders in SFL

Over the years I have heared of a few people that are running around with built auto trannies down here.I have read that the NA A340 trans is not worth building and to go with a TT auto, but some say the NA model is just as good...blah blah blah and the argument never ends

Can some folks help out and post some info on there setups and who are the right people to contact for the job.Let me know what options you would recomend

My goal is to make 400wrhp on a daily driver, not looking to break records.

For 400rwhp, a stock TT Auto Trans is all you would need...

I know Larry and Neil among others have a valve body upgrade on their 1GS with aristo swap. They are all running 11s all day with just nitrous, exhaust, drag radials, and turning up the boost. Stock twins and intercooler. I'm not sure what they use to upgrade the tranny but I found this:

Great info guys .....thanks,I have tried asking many locally, but some people are a lil secretive or make a mistery about this Built Auto thing

WickedSC...yeah you are right, but I just want a little more peace of mind by beefing up the internals

LRD...I know you have an auto setup,do you have big aftermarket trans cooler?

I know about IPT...just looking for locals who do this kinda of work

Any local shops or person you guys would recommend?

what would I be looking to spend for this kinda of work?

S14eva1..//LRD is running a TT Auto tranny with a valvebody upgrade done locally by a guy named Chris Ty or something along those lines. //LRD has been running his car hard making 500rwhp + on it so you shouldn't have any problems. Send him a PM for Chris's number...

Thanks guys ....good info

keep it coming...still wondering how much will this cost?....my guess is between $800-$1k depending if clutch packs and valve body are being upgraded or just valve body work
