I guess you know what happened here in San Diego, CA: 2008 ES350 killed a family. 911 records have been released. It;s on YouTube. I made a research and it turns out that this problem has been around for 30 years. Forget about the floor mats - rediculous excuse. Some experts have proved a fault in cruise control devices not only in Toyota cars. However, RX350 is not on the black list: I have not heard from anybody about its possible "runaway" behavavior. May be I should have the cruise control removed from my RX just in case? We spent last night in GALLUP, NM. The RX has been great so far, we are running 70 to 80 MPH. Gas mileage so far has been about 23 GPH. Now the ugly stuff. I decided to go to the Lexus dealer and ask them how. One person their didn't believe I had a Hybred with a rack and walked out to my RX to see it. He told me that Lexus isn't putting the rack on the 450 because of the 1/2 to 1 mile of mileage loss it causes. Then the service manager and a tech walked out to look also. They said that Lexus drills holes into the roof to mount the rack and removing it would leave holes I couldn't seal from the rain. I find this hard to believe but dumber things have happened. I just got 2010 RX350 no Nav and trying to transfer contacts from my phones, I tried with iPhone and of course it doesn't support it, I tried with blackberry pearl 8120 and it only transfers the first contact in address book and then stops, any help would be appreciated.

Also the other issue is when I get in to the car the audio (iPhone) starts playing, is there anyway to prevent it from just start playing ?

for those unaware of the issue, some of us experience a rattle coming from the left of the drivers head

went to dealer who faulted shoulder belt assembly for rattle & replaced it

this did not resolve my problem

after closely listening to the rattle, i found it was coming from just forward of the B pillar in the drivers door

i can feel the door moving around on the highway when i stick my fingers between the door & frame

thought spraying lithium grease on the door seals might remedy the rattle

while doing so i found the real culprit

there's a plastic window shroud/trim piece inside the door

i sprayed some grease on the plastic where i heard the rattle

haven't heard rattle in a week now

felt stickers might be a better solution

The Lexus service said they have to remove the entire center console assembly to get to the cell phone. They charged me $50. Isn't this a design flaw? The service manager told me that he got a phone call yesterday from a lady who lost her ring in the same spot and have to take the car in also.

I took mine to several garages and they couldn't do it. the official dealership was initially telling me how its impossible but then after talking to the mechanic a bit he told me its possible but they are forbidden to do it.

After we agreed on a payment to him, he took my car in but after 10 mins he came back and told me some story about how if he activates DVD in motion there might be consequences with the ABS of the car.

Is there a setting/customization that will allow the radio to remain on after the engine is stopped? Currently, when I park, push the stop button, the radio stops. I may just be spoiled from my GM trade-in.
