Reports that Nicolas Cage is going broke have been all over the web in the past few days. According to a report by Yahoo, Cage has filed a $20 million lawsuit against his ex-manager, Samuel Levin. He's accused Levin of negligence and fraud and stated that he's been
"led down a path toward financial ruin."

Perez Hilton claims that Cage is selling his "haunted" mansion in New Orleans in addition to his $35 million mansion in Hollywood. Additionally, Hilton claims that Cage did not pay his 2007 federal income tax on the home in New Orleans which is worth $3.55 million.

It has also been reported that Cage recently sold his 132 foot yacht for $7.7 million.

Additionally, a lien has been filed by the IRS for $6,257,005 for unpaid federal income tax.

Cage just recently fired his ex-manager of seven years. He claims that Levin did not tell him that he was running out of money and that his credit had already been over-extended.

Celebrity website TMZ.com stated that Cage has been forced to "sell major assets and investments at a significant loss". This is due to Levin not paying Cage's taxes when they were due. Additionally, Cage stated that Levin had made speculative and shaky real estate investments.

According to Cage, Levin's actions resulted in Cage "suffering catastrophic losses."

Cage is well known for his acting roles in "National Treasure", "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Face/Off". According to Fobes.com, Cage earned about $40 million in 2008. He also has six movies that should be released to theaters in the next couple of years.

Apparently, Cage was unaware of how bad his financial situation had become until September, 2008. That was when he hired a new manager to replace Levin.

Additionally, Cage feels that his reputation has been "irreparably tarnished".

Actor Nicolas Cage is Suing Financial Manager for Mismanagement of Funds
Nicolas Cage broke? Like many Americans, Nicolas Cage is broke. Even though Nicolas Cage made millions during his career, he is now broke and bankrupt. So just how is it that one actor who has made millions during his acting career is now broke and bankrupt?

Nicolas Cage is not in denial about being broke. The actor is having a real estate liquidation sale and selling properties he owns across the world. In addition, Nicolas Cage is suing a business manager that allegedly sent him "down a path toward financial
Nicolas Cage Broke? Actor Nicolas Cage Buried in Debt
ruin" for a minimum of $20 million.

The business manager that Nicolas Cage is suing is Samuel J. Levin and his firm Levin & Co. Management, Inc. Nicolas Cage claims that Levin gave him bad advice and mismanaged his funds.

Levin was Cage's business manager from 2001 to 2008, and has collected millions of dollars in management fees from the former wealthy actor. Cage put his trust in Levin, and claims he didn't know what kind of trouble he was in until he hired new management.

According to the Huffington Post, Levin is a Certified Public Accountant in California and in his 25 years of practice has never been subject to any disciplinary actions. Therefore, Nicolas Cage had no reason not to trust Levin.

What can you do to keep yourself out of a situation such as that of Nicolas Cage? For starters, you should always take an active role in managing your finances. Of course, hiring a business manager or financial consultant is a great idea for wealthy individuals. However, letting someone just 'handle' everything you do could have severe consequences, as the actor has seen. Had Nicolas Cage kept up with everything himself, he may have found out he was in trouble before it was too late.

Always make sure you fully understand any investments your manager is enrolling you in. Nicolas Cage was in numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments. OF course, we don't know what type of risk tolerance profile Nicolas Cage claimed he had when he went to see the financial advisor. What Nicolas Cage desired may determine if he's successful in a claim against his former manager.

Our new ally is not one of us - he's not even human. He's black, he's furry, and he's seriously ticked off. What's more, he doesn't demand money or weapons from us. He eats terrorists, and if we could get him to pee gasoline, he'd be just about perfect.

It seems in the last week or two, Tailban terrorists have run afoul of another breed of terrorist, the Eurasian Black Bear. One Taliban leader and one of his henchmen were killed recently when they and a couple of other gunmen sought shelter in a narrow cave. Uh-oh. Yogi wasn't too happy when he discovered people in his den, and in the close confines of the cave, AK-47's were of no use. The leader and #1 toady became a late lunch, and two gunmen escaped to tell the tale.

It is unusual that they did. It seems that a number of Taliban fighters have been paying the price lately for holing up in the caves of the Kashmir region. The original tenants, coming in at 400 lbs, fully equipped with a fearsome set of teeth and claws seem to be making short work of the interlopers. This is hibernation season for Yogi and his pals, and he is particularly nasty when awakened.

It turns out that rather than being the cute, cuddly Yogi bear, the Eruasian Black Bear is larger, with more powerful jaws and longer claws than his American cousin. Worse, he has a really foul temper and rather than run, will actively pursue humans. Trees are no refuge, because like our domestic black bear, the Eurasian variety can climb quite well. If you plan on making your escape up a tree, you are only going to give the animal a little exercise before his dinner.

There have been reports for some time about Taliban fighters simply disappearing in the Kashmir without a trace. Obviously Yogi is after more than picnic baskets; terrorists may be a little stringy, but they have proven easy prey.

I never thought about post count when I joined here back in fall of 2000 and I never posted just for that number. Over the years I've lost a few posts for whatever reason and in the moderator forums, TLN thread etc posts don't count.....

Funny but I thought about it for the last couple of weeks...50,000...now I'm not the first, fellow super-moderator Rominl is at 60k plus.....but damn..thats a lot and it kind of hit me "Mike that is A LOT of posts"

Finding this site is one of the best things thats happened to me. Period. Its up there with goats, hooters and bacon...... Not spam:spam: :D My first Lexus was a manual ES in 1996...and my enthusiasm for the brand grew everyday as it was by far the best product not just me, but my family ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Thank Al Gore for the internet. :D I actually found this site called "Ladman" and it was about Lexus. I was hooked. (odd but I remember one of the news flashes there was "New NSX coming", that was 9 years ago lol). Searched a little more and

www.Clublexus.com

I want to say I had a multiple orgasm when I saw it. I clicked and the site was very basic and not that busy. Amazingly there was a group in Atlanta though and members CSR and bitkahuna were getting the first meet together. 2 people! They posted pics and I said "I will make the next one".

By this time it was winter/spring 2001. So I went, stock GS 400. Some great modded GSs there and bitkahuna decided to turn the AMC parking lot into his Nurburgring!! To this day bit and I talk, that is my O.G Ace Obi-Wan. He's been a great positive influence for me.

I'll never forget that first ride with him. At the time the site was owned and ran by Mike Kilty (Mkilty)and I have to pay homage to him for running this site initially and making me a moderator. I never met him personally but in PM he was a really nice guy. Older names like LexusLady, Manary, Qbranchcars (he sent me my first freebies from Carson for our third Atlanta meet). MeanGene, Percy (still here!), Harrier, VVTi (still here and another bud of mine, he is that dude!!!!), LexusRules (Sasha from Canada, the TRUE O.G Lexus nut!!!), Stephen, Johnny Mo....surely others I haven't mentioned.

50,000

So many people come and go....the "Lexus lobby" needed some help so next thing you know I became a moderator of that forum on 9-21-01. Luckily my background is in management so I knew a little about "moderating".

Ethan bought the site and we were blessed with another great owner (Static 911) and on 8-5-02 I became a super moderator. Ethan made some great improvements to Clublexus and invested in it. LOTC and LS400 also were integral in the move. There are so many moderators to name during this period but they helped as they could and it was appreciated.

For my my love for Lexus continued to grow. At this point I started setting up the meets in Atlanta and helped with SE meets. This is when these "handles" started to become friends. :) RIP to two great guys I met and knew, RealMarty and CmputerWiz. I remember posting I think a twenty dollar on the lip of my Weds to show the "lip"...that caught on fast. :D There were times I was called to clean up specific forums (too may tards) and times I was told chill out. :p

50,000

Like most that joined, I was a newb and I am so grateful for the elders for teaching me and others on wheels, tires, modifcations, gas, oil, hooters, politics, movies, where to buy, everything :D This information passed is truly INVALUABLE. This forum is FREE for members! Amazing. The least I can do as a member and as a super-moderator is to do the same.

I was never a show guy but won NOPI third place in 2003. That was also the year I wrecked my GS 400. :peep: So many times we read about people who got in wrecks and they leave, never to return. I made a promise to not do that and come back stronger. I even went to the Lexus meet that same weekend WITH NO CAR. I wanted to show everyone life goes on and things happen and you just got to keep it moving. The outpouring was "love" was very touching, I remember my eyes tearing one time b/c all these people I either knew personally or didn't, were telling me keep your head up. This was also when I could vouch for Lexus safety:D

Like I tell people, I've pretty much done whatever to a Lexus in one way or another. :D

This site grew. Fast, huge. Like a city, you saw all these new people moving in. Old people moving out. A few stay. As a super-moderator its hard. We do not and cannot see every thread and every post.

50,000

At this time DaveGS4 became a moderator (I think around 2004 or so) and he quickly became the new leader here. Unlike Mike and Ethan, he is on the East Coast and we met at the Tail of the Dragon (Ethan actually visited us at the Tail of the Dragon meet on year) and he now has to put up with me online and in person. :D I cannot think of a better person leading this site, not just from an always here standpoint (I swear the man has doubles) and technical knowledge but the ETHICS are there. I've learned a lot from that dude. We haven't seen eye to eye a few times but we keep it in PM and keep it moving. Oh and he has the COOLEST wife ever!

(Shout out to current owners Internet Brands. They have invested in servers, they have left us in control and they are easily accessible in my opinion).

I tip my hat to the Cali guys b/c from day one, yalls meets are just RIDICULOUS. I envy all those big meets (and constant warm weather). Since day one, the meets there have been tremendous. There are many leaders in the Cali area but I know Henry, Ryan, Glen, Javy, Phil, Liz (RIP) and many others have done so much there, as the wonderful sponsorship from Lexus and local dealers. It takes TEAMWORK people. I wish some of you would stop the silly bickering, keep the unity. Ryan, your passion for Lexus keeps me reading!! Henry, the wheel guru, my mahn!

I tip my hat to the guys in Montana, in Mississippi, etc trying to make meets happen. It just takes some organization skills and some enthusiasm. Please SUPPORT local meets. The Chicago crew. The HI crew, the Texas crew, Florida crew and watching NELOC just explode.

Seeing the styles come, go, evolve for better or worse...JDM, Dub, Chrome, paint match, VIP, VIP style, dumped, stock....we have seen pretty much every style possible on pretty much any Lexus.

To all the people taking it to the track!! Isn't it funny seeing peoples faces What is that Lexus doing here lol????? Taking to the the dragstrip! Taking it to shows! We have so many people here who have won awards, trophies, national magazine coverage.

RIP to our CL members who are no longer here.

50,000

We have had two East Coast Lexfests....the one at Team Lexus in Maryland in 05 and one at Road Atlanta in 06. One of my biggest thrills was meeting Steve Ganz from Carson Toyota/L-tuned parts! This was a guy who ALWAYS has supported this website and the Lexus scene. In person he was even cooler. Derrick and his brother were just starting out with "D2 autosport". I remember talking with then and thinking "damn they are JUST like me". Its been fantastic watching their success and growth and continued support of this site. The following year I met Darrel from Sewell Lexus, another big time sponsor and supporter of the site and event. :cool:Funny, went from a meet with a handful of people to dozens! This is a LEXUS, we are told constantly and read constantly "Its boring, not an enthusiasts car".

All I see are enthusiasts. You don't have to drive a 600hp car to be an enthusiast.

The IS-F track meet a couple years ago in Florida was fun. Hung out with the Florida crew again. 1JZ swap heaven! Bluelex perfect show car, took it to the dragstrip with me. :D Meeting longtime O.G. Mr. Johnson!

50,000

Lets see TLN. What can I say, yall are the 5%;). That thread is fellowship. I started it years ago, just for people that were the "night owls". Its grown into multiple huge threads and a place where people truly get to know one another and meeting one another.

For awhile I was the guy mailing those now coveted Clublexus stickers. I would sit and fold the letter Ethan wrote, put in two stickers and send in the mail. Took forever!!! The envelopes were self sealed but sometimes I would forget and lick anyway. Yuck.

1ES, 3RX, 4 LS, 2 IS....yeah that was me....Lexus internal codes are just to ridiculous to remember. (E39, you know what model BMW that is if you are a gearhead). Saying 2003 GS, or 1999 ES etc was too long and a lot of people would just post "ES". Well what year, what gen? So I came up with that and glad to see it catch on.

CarChat. It was originally a part of the Clubhouse....it was decided to split due to demand and more car related threads a few years ago. Now its nearly the busiest forum here. :eek2: That's my home in Clublexus home. I love sharing info, opinions, data in there. Andrew and MMarshall are tremendous in there with everything along with a growing crop of CarChat members.Trexus, Encore, MPLexus301, TRDFantasy....

SELOC. A much much much smaller cousin of Clublexus, for Atlanta and SE owners....Hola to my Atlanta crew!! Still going strong all these years and I've met so many great people. Funny but I can't really name ONE PINHEAD in person all these years. A couple eccentrics but nothing crazy lol. Or maybe I'm the pinhead lol. Lance, Kristie, Morris, Jaime, Tee, Eric, Kofi, Bing, Tony, JP, Jazziz, KayGee (lurker lol) and so many others...

DIY, meets, stickies, reviews, complaints, where to buy, NWS :D, racing, you name it, I've posted it. Most times for the best. Sometimes, I can fly off the handle. Never said I was perfect. I've gotten some PMs calling me every name in the book:hug: and I've seen myself blasted on here and other sites. Almost famous I guess. :D Seeing some of my quotes in signatures....some are good, some of me being funny and glad people enjoy the humor.

50,000 egads...

Funny but I used to laugh about guys that had the wife or G/F that would bish at them about being on the site constantly.

Now thats my life.:D Who would have thunk it. I've done my Lent CL break and will continue to do so. I used to take winter breaks but everytime I want to, I don't. lol

I can't even begin to name all the members I've met in person. Literally hundreds. I've driven to the other side of GA for OLT as a favor. I've met members on a whim to show them where to go for service. I've showed a few members a damn good time in Atlanta :D. I've traveled to Alabama, TN, NC, Florida to support meets. With eye candy. (CL members can vouch for me and my ex-stable) My e-mail and phone buzzes and I am more than happy to help. Its always been a pleasure.

That means I have 6,992 PMs right now (II think Dave has like 456,020)

There are times I do get tired. 50,000 is no joke, thats just posts, not lurking, browsing and just moderating. Moderating is the funniest unpaid position ever. Its my ticket to heaven. :D Sometimes I feel like a zombie. There have been times I've been SICK of some content. Its not easy watching dumbasses post for days, weeks, years with the same banter over and over. People have been warned, sent infractions, banned from forums, banned forever. Spammers get sent crabs in a bag. Posts moved over and over. Posted deleted. The photo gallery cleaned (needs cleaning now). Posts edited. PMs sent to talk to people. Watching people CHANGE right before your eyes just based on buying a new car. Newbs being told search. Moving newbs. Trying to tell O.Gs be nice to newbs. Organizing meets, helping with groupbuys. Correcting misinformation. Adding information. Searching and having to find threads for people.

Its odd how on the internet you just "connect" with some people. Some people I have never met yet, I feel we have. Henry is like my brother from another mother. CDNRockies and I get along well, I've never been to Canada lol. Dave in Japan and I trade jokes. My 450h crew, Stormforge! J.P is my Detroit brother!

The people.....more than anything, this site has the best people out of any automotive site I've seen. For the most part we have a very intelligent bunch. A very helpful bunch. Flaming for the most part is at a minimum. People are pretty "stand up" and respectful. Considering the size of the site and how busy it is, the moderators really have to tip our hats to members.

So in closing THANK YOU CLUBLEXUS for being part of my life I truly care about and love. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Its Friday, please have a toast and drink for me celebrating 50k! Rock on!

Mike

sidenote-its been absolutely amazing to see Lexus grow and become so respected in revered in such a short time. In 1996, there was only the ES, SC and LS!! lol. Today Lexus has everything from a concept hatch, to hybrids, to "F and F-sport" to hardtop convertibles, the 100k LS and now the LFA. Its been a pleasure seeing the growth! Plug for Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett, best Lexus dealer around!!

P.S-if u felt left out, blame my head, not the heart...too many posts... (like Hameed driving his family from CANADA to come to one of the Tail of the Dragon meets, damn!!)

After much discussion from fans on who should replace the original line-up and whether a remake should be made at all, The A-Team movie appears to be well and truly on... and here's the very first official cast photo to prove it.

The new crack team include BA Baracus (now played by UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson), Faceman, (played by Hangover star Bradley Cooper), Murdock (played by South African actor Sharlto Copey) while Liam Neeson will be in charge as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith. The fab four are also joined by Jessica Biel who plays an army general in hot pursuit (we're guessing she'll be a sexy army general too).

As for the story, well, this modern A-Team are now a group of hardened Iraq War veterans trying to clear their name from a crime they didn't commit. And sneaky early shots from filming in Vancouver, Canada, would suggest that this will be as action packed as the TV show with the classic GMC van being spotted in some scenes.

As for the picture, well, we have a few quibbles. Rampage Jackson is not wearing nearly enough gold chains, Murdock's hat looks a bit too new and Liam Neeson appears to have benefited from some Photoshop trickery. Oh, and the Hummer behind them looks like it's having engine trouble. But besides all that, we're getting pretty excited.

Let's just hope that they can take heed from the man in the video below. I pity the fool if they don't...

The A-Team arrives in cinemas from 30 July 2010

ever since upgrading to 10.6 my 23" Apple Cinema Display ghosts REALLY bad. I've been gone for about 4 hours with a Safari window open and I can still see it after minimizing it 20 minutes ago. It will ghost images left there for a relatively short period of time. If I boot back to 10.5 and leave it open, no ghosting. The issue is 100% related to Snow Leopard. There are also others reporting the same issue on Apple's discussion boards. Anyone wanna chime in with their 2 cents on what is causing this?

On the iMac's the problem with 10.6 has something to do with 10.6 making the machine run warmer and since the CPU is right behind the screen, it makes sense. But no on my separate display.
