Brake pads and rotors covered under warranty?
Hello all,
New member here with a leased 2014 ES350 about 5 months ago. Due to some unfortunate events i wasn't able to drive the car since Jan-March. It was parked in my backyard driveway. Started driving the car again in late March and noticed some vibrations while braking. I checked the brakes and noticed rust on my brake pads and rotors. Thought maybe this would go away if i drive the car more but its only getting worst. This is my first Lexus and the brake pads and rotors weren't under warranty for all the cars i've owned previously if my memory serves me correctly... Wanted to see if this is the same case with Lexus before i head to the dealer. Thanks in advance.

Wear items are not covered, unless you can prove they were defective. So, no.

Doubt the dealer would help will do anything warranty related to help your situation. They'll probably blame how the car was stored and the conditions the car had to endure during those months that the car wasn't driven. You can try, but maybe leave out the part that the car was left parked outside for a few months...
