Default Kayak hauling on roof of es350

I cant find anyplace on the front and rear of my 2014 ES350 to attach tie down straps to keep my kayak on the roof from falling off of the car. I only use an inexpensive set of plastic blocks on the roof but need to be able to use a ratchet tie down strap to attach to the front and rear of the kayak.
Cars i have had in the past usually had some kind of hook as part of the frame to attach to when transporting something on the roof of my car.

If anyone knows where or how to find anything under the front and rear of the car to hook onto id appreciate your help.Thanks.

Default how to secure kayak on roof of ES350

Even with a proper rack i would want to tie my kayak down in the front and back for safety purposes.

The inflatable is a good idea but they arent to be used with cars that have side air bags like mine.

I went through the owner manual and found nothing on the topic. guess i will call the dealer and see what they say. Never had a car before that didnt have some kind of gizmo in front and back to tie a rope or strap etc to to haul something on the roof .

I'm not sure why Lexus would design a place to tie something down to the front and the back so you can carry something on the roof of a luxury sedan. It would never even occur to me to attempt such a thing LOL.

I think yakima has roof racks for the ES.

what kind of yak do you want to tote and how far and fast?

I have 5 yaks but use my expedition. I've only secured it at the racks. \

if the yak is level and doesn't catch the wind its just fine up to 60-65., but at an acute angle where it catches wind, nothing is strong enough to hold it...

get the correct rack and sell it when you sell the kayak. they hold their value, and won't hurt the car.

btw, saltwater will rust the car if you don't wash it off asap...

GL!

But I keep it below 65mph and so should you.
