I'm actually quite an expert of using google to find photos, but it was super hard to find one of the screen, probably because it's embarrassing for lexus. Here is what the screen kinda looks like in the 2014 (this pic is off a 13' RX350). Bad isn't it?

As for options, I'm kinda a low options guy. Learned my lesson after buying a corvette with $17k in options, when I traded it in, I probably got 20% value for the options at most. I don't use navigation much on cars and I have a theory that heated/ventilated seats are less comfortable than those without (my butt needs all the comfort it can get). Ideally, I would want three options on the 15' ES350: wood steering wheel (love the feel of it) ~$330, HID lights - $500, and blind spot assist $500 . I think those three are worth the money, unfortunately I can't get them alone without adding $3k in option packages.

WOW...ridiculous didn't' even know that was out there....

Wood & Leather Trimmed Shift **** & Steering Wheel $330 option..
I've never seen an ES without the wood trim.

The car in that pic isn't bare-bones enough. This car looks like it has Display Audio with the rotary **** controller. The OP's car has a leather-only steering wheel, black and white center display and an empty space where the Remote Touch controller would be. I wouldn't touch it if it didn't have HIDs or memory seats.

My car looks almost like this except for black plastics instead of tan, and dark gray NuLux seats. It looks like a supersized IS

I just built a base ES on the Lexus website (No options). The one linked is as bare bones as it gets in the US.

The wife likes the white 2015 and you like the red 2014. It's a no brainer. Get what the wife wants. Remember who's in charge of the stuff you want more of.

The display audio is standard in 2015. The 2014 standard option is the black and white display. Part of reason why MSRP went up from $37.7lk to $38.8k in 2015 models, also due to rear view camera is now standard.

Well I purchased the car yesterday and drove her home. Ended up going with white to please the wife (thanks musclecar6). 2015 ES 350 in starfire pearl, $5,000 off MSRP at Lexus of Tampa Bay (200+ mile drive from Jacksonville in order to earn an additional $1,000 on my trade in).

It's such a beautiful car really in any color. Got a comment right away when I pulled into a rest area.

One thing I'm not liking is the seat comfort. It's very comfortable dont get me wrong, but not ultra comfortable. In my crazy opinion, I think the nuluxe seats without perforations found in the 2014 models are more comfortable. I sat in a 2014 300h without perforations for over 30 mins at the dealer, only because I waited over 2 hours to wait my turn for the finance guy. My theory is the perforations add just a tiny bit more sag and have less support than seats without perforations; I would estimate about 5-10% more comfort. Crazy nit pick it is, but I've been suffering from glute pain for the past year.
