Since the scratches only show up in just the right light, my guess is that there are many ES owners who aren't even aware of the fact that they are there, but, at a minimum, I'll guess that the consoles of most ES vehicles have something akin to polishing swirls that, again, only show up if the light is hitting the surface directly and at just the right angle.
