Hey Lexus, you're really catching them young these days

I'd say designing the ES for a younger crowd is paying off, bit by bit. The previous model was more like a luxury Buick while the new one is like a giant A4.

I was 17 when i drove it off the lot, thanks to parents as a graduation gift. I'm 19 now about to graduate with AA degree, if only my parents would now buy me a RC F ... I doubt it but hey I can at least Dream while I start saving for one.

You have to be a die hard Lexus fan to get an RC F
... it is pure garbage. The M4 costs about the same and it absolutely destroys the RC F. Or tak on a few more dollars and get a C63. RC F drives terrible and looks even worse.

Chill out... The RC F is the only big non-US coupe left with an atmospheric V8. It may not be as fun on track as a frantic M4 but it's a much better cruiser and much more comfortable drive on twisty roads for the average driver. I find it odd that Lexus talked so much about its track abilities when that isn't the RC's natural environment. I would say it's the modern equivalent of a classic Benz CL55 - quiet, luxurious, fast, with lots of power and decent handling.

You mean a naturally aspirated V8 ? The comparison factor is not good with the RC F and a CL55. The wheel base is much longer so the drive is totally different on the CL, its more closer to the S Class platform, where as the RC is smaller than even a E Class and is way more rev happy than a laid back CL. Which brings me to wonder, have you driven the RC F ? Because the RC F was actually made most specifically to compete with the M3 / M4 playform. It is not a cruiser or a sporty cruiser in any sense. The GS, that is the benchmark of a sporty cruiser. The RC F is more of a track car made for the streets with torque vectoring technology, It just needs more power, torque and refinement. It will one day be a great car but its not there yet. And it looks absolutely hideous to me, sorry im not politically correct, just looks weird i would get an GS F anyday

I'm 19, bought this car as a compromise and really would prefer my lease to be soon asap. I'm making the most of it while I do have it

40 here, first Lexus and I love the quiet ride and the fuel economy of the hybrid. Not looking to get anywhere in a rush in it, and I love it's styling!

...but when I'm in a rush, my other car is a q60s 6 speed :-)

We've had an ES in the family since a 1991 ES250. The ES has always been my "wife's car" but it is now our mule. We travel back and forth from CT to NC several times a year and it has only gotten better. Our '16 is a dream to drive on these trips.
The ES350 is our practical car.
It shares stable space with a 2010 IS-F, 2013 Porsche Boxster, and a 2016 Mazda Miata.

Your only as old as you feel

That's some compromise!!!!! I'm 42 and just got my first Lexus, the 2017 ES350. Either you love or hate Lexus I guess. I'm a lover, so I doubt this will be my last one!!!

Through the first 25 or so age entries, the average age was trending towards 47 years.

The latest 15-20 responses (some included their wives who also drive a Lexus) brought the average age down, closer to 43 years.

Not sure if this small sample of Club Lexus users represents the rest the rest of the world, but interesting info either way.
