Tell y'all what, I'll be the guinea pig, I've had it for about two weeks now, after 2 months, 6 months, heck even 2 years, if it melts anything I'll let y'all know

Not to worry xclream: The mod works and no fear of heat, fire, melting, warranty issues, state inspection violations, or anything else after 2 years...

Thanks for the assurances everyone
I'll go with either a VLED or ijdmtoy kit just to be safe. Seems like ijdmtoy has some secret sauce in their new CANBUS error-free LEDs that doesn't require a separate decoder or resistor, but they're $45 each (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/No-Hyper-Flash-7440-LED-Turn-Signal-Light-Bulbs-p/20-001.htm).
And yeah xclream, I'm in CN as in the country, not TW Lots of interesting retrofit stuff here for the ES. Worst drivers in the world too.
From an electrical engineering point of view, how else can you modify circuit resistance without using resistors? I'm trying to figure out how these LED decoders work.

CN the land of major exports, including many unique things and fakes too. You have lots of possibilities . However, it seems your ES costs are a bit higher and more limited options than the states?

I can attest to that! I was in Hangzhou a few years ago, for two weeks, and feel lucky to have made it out alive! The lines in the road are just suggestions.

There's good stuff, there's shoddy dangerous stuff and it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff, especially when packaging can be faked. I've seen some decoders on Tmall, I might buy a few and crack them open to see what's inside.
An ES250 here starts at US$45k, ES300h $55-70k, ES350 $80-95k. My base spec ESh has xenons, folding mirrors, moon roof, but with a grayscale screen, piano black trim and no memory seats. The dealer threw in an aftermarket DVD/GPS unit for free. The top spec ESh has everything the US UL spec has, with BSM, adaptive cruise, wood trim, leather, heated seats, motorized shades, etc.
The ES is selling well because it's a spacious and efficient imported car that's cheaper than locally assembled stretched BMW 520iL and Audi A6L models. It's also the same price as local VW Passats but with much better build.
For comparison, GS250 $75-85k, GS300h $85-100k, GS350 $110k, GS450h $140k (!!!). That's Tesla money... Imported cars with large engines get slapped with high import taxes.
