My Safety Connect is up for renewal, and they want $260 for another year - ouch!

I called them, and they said I can purchase just the Safety Connect piece for $130/year, which would give me the emergency features (stolen vehicle, collision detect, etc.) but would exclude the Destination Assist and eDestination.

Anybody had any luck renewing for a better price?

As far as I know, and from my experience, Lexus doesn't offer any specials or savings on these subscriptions.

I just paid the approx. $130. It should be free for 3-5 yrs. but if you drive a lot it's worth it for safety reasons.

Two people in this thread have said it "should" be free - I'm not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean that you wish it was free, or that it's normally free for more than one year?

No, it's not free after the first year. What I meant - can't speak for anyone else - is that I feel that Toyota should provide it FREE - the entire package without charge for the owner of their luxury cars. And yes, I wish it was free. I do not currently subscribe to it and don't plan to in the future. This is my opinion.

I think it should be included free for more than a year in a luxury brand such as this.

Are there are price breaks available for multi-year subscriptions? There were when I extended the Safety Connect subscription for our Prius for three years in 2013. I hope to get a similar discount for a multi-year subscription when the Safety Connect trial in our Sienna expires next year.

IMO, the subscription fee for Safety Connect is a bargain compared to the original Lexus Link.
