Default ES 350 With IS Wheels

Just added IS Wheels to My 2013 ES 350. They do fit and it is possible. They are offset 8.5 in the back. 8.0 in the front.

Those look really good. BUT...doing staggered wheels on a FWD car? Won't that really throw off the handling?

Ive driven it around quite a bit now and it feels just as good if not better than with the original wheels. At the very worst, i havent noticed a difference. Besides maybe a bit more noise. If i notice anything major ill post it.

To me, there's "too much space" in the wheel wells. Your car's color helps mask that space a bit, but I think it would be more pronounced on lighter-colored vehicles.

What's the difference, diameter-wise, between the IS wheels and the ES wheels?

Looks good! Was thinking of doing this. Could you possibly post a side view photo door level?

jbm... you are right about that. I bought the wheels with the sport tires already on them and there is a bit more room in the well than i want there to be but im not going to throw away a good tire. When these eventually wear out i will replace them with something that better "fits." Nice observation.

Yes, i will post a side view as soon as it stops raining. LOL

Diameter wise there isnt much difference. I happened to have 17s and these are 18s but you can also get 18 with an ES.

I believe that using the 17 inch wheels with tires that I assume have an aspect ratio of 45 will throw off your speedometer and odometer by about 6% because of the smaller circumference of that wheel and tire combination.

It should also reduce your fuel economy by about the same 6%, but, because the odometer will be off by 6%, any calculations that you (or the car's computer) make for mpg will not be accurate, either.

Wheels/tires look too small for the car.
