I checked those part numbers at at Sewell Lexus ( http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S350-2013.html ). Sewell definitely lists two different springs and two different struts. The option part is described as for "B PACKAGE & SPORT PACK & TIRE & DISCWHEEL-225/45R18 ALL SEASON TIRE ALUMINUM".

At least, the parts department believes there is a "sport pack". They sell parts for it that are different from the regular car.

I don't question whether there are different suspension parts used by Lexus on the ES vehicles with 17 inch wheels and on Lexus ES vehicles with 18 inch vehicles. I also don't question that the ES with 18 inch wheels has a firmer/harsher ride than the ES with 17 inch wheels. What I do question is whether the harsher ride with the 18 inch wheels is the result of different suspension components. I suspect that the difference in ride quality is primarily the result of the bigger wheels and lower profile tires.

Also, regardless of whether someone in Sewell parts has chosen to use the term "sport pack", nowhere does Lexus' marketing choose to use that term or to offer anything called a "sport pack". What they do offer is an 18" wheel option. After having driven multiple ES vehicles with both the 17 inch wheels and with the 18 inch wheels, I would have no trouble describing the ride quality of the ES with 18 inch wheels as being firmer or harsher than that of the ES with 17 inch wheels, but I would be hard pressed to describe either the ride quality or the handling of the ES with 18 inch wheels as being "sportier" than the ride quality or handling of the ES with 17 inch wheels, and I would be hard pressed to think that a firmer ride translates necessarily into a "sportier ride" and better handling. A John Deere garden tractor has a very firm ride, but I can't imagine anyone considering that ride to be sporty.

I wish I had known that the back up camera didn't have dynamic grid lines. I would have still chosen this car but I was bummed that it didn't when so many competitors do.

I've just put on my asbestos underwear in preparation for the flames, but I am always amazed (at this thread and others like it) where people are surprised, upset, bummed, and other adjectives/adverbs over finding out after buying a car that the car doesn't have one feature or another that they thought it out to have or assumed it had or that it doesn't work they way they think it should or assumed it would.

Does no one actually research or test drive a car or its features before buying anymore?

Even if one does research, test drives the car, reads about various features, there will always be something that was overlooked and becomes a surprise - or disappointment. There are no cars made -IMO- that have every feature and option just as you want it. The posts of climate control, ML audio, whining noises complaints among others, is a good example. You just don't know until you've had the car for a couple of months and find out.

Confirming that the Drive Mode Selector does not change any suspension setting in the ES300h or 350.

The F-sport and Luxury additional cost models of the 2013/14 GS350 have both Sport (shift point and steering
effort changes) and also Sport Plus which includes shock absorber changes.

There is one thing that I was sure the ES350 had, and ended up not having after purchasing the vehicle, that I REALLY wish was an option.

If you have multiple key FOB's, the car will identify them individually and adjust all the settings in the car based on the owner of the individual FOB.

I had been debating for so long between the GS and ES, I think I got this option mixed up in the process, after buying the car I found out that it was not on the ES.

Also the 16 way seats on the GS was another option I wish came on the ES.

I'm not completely sure exactly what you are saying in your post, but the Lexus ES350 electronic key fobs DO discriminate between owners and thus, seat settings when entering the vehicle. There are three (3) separate settings.

The ES350 had this feature on the 2007 model. I know. I had one.

We have two fobs for our 13 es350 and the wife's fob adjusts to her settings and my fob adjusts to my settings. Your talking the driver and steering wheel settings? Both of mine work differently. Te dealer programmed them for me.

The key-linked memory also remembers, besides driver seat and mirror positions, climate control temperature settings and which bluetooth phone/player is used to connect to the car.

I was aware of the steering, seat, and mirrors, but didn't know about the phone and climate control. Thanks for the info!
