IPOD Controls Don't Display on Screen
Just bought a CPO 2013 ES350, (TODAY 7/9/14). Went from a 2008 BMW 582i.
I had my IPOD hooked into the USB connector in my BMW... kept the same cord and plugged into the ES connections.
The DISPLAY screen shows it's hooked into AUX tab... but there are NO songs being displayed and I have to control stop and play from the IPOD itself. I've checked the Manual... and on page 525 (I think)... it actually shows that you should be able to control the IPOD from the display screen. Also the IPOD ICON is grayed out and won't allow me to click on it.
ANY HELP?? I've called the dealer, they said bring it in... but I thought there might be something I am doing wrong.
thanks

You said you had it in the AUX, in the ES you should have it plugged into the USB port.

I think the OP said it was connected to the USB port, but the display shows AUX.
I also use an ipod connected to the USB port of my '14ES. It works just like the owners manual describes, controlled entirely from the display screen, so I cant provide much help with your problem. Do you have anything plugged into the AUX port? Have you tried plugging a flash drive with MP3 files into the USB port to see if that works?

If you're using the same cord you did in your BMW, that's the issue. It has a USB and a 3.5mm connector attached. That would explain the AUX port showing up. All you need is the white cable that came with the iPod to hook it up.

thanks for your help... I thought the BMW cord would be the same, obviously not. I tried a regular APPLE iPod cord... and it recognized it immediately. DUH!!
