yes, bit obsessive about them, when there is one, I only focus on trying to find where it's coming from. Once I find it, I try to find a way to fix it or if I can't I make an appointment with the dealer. So far lexus have spend 5.8 hours fixing rattles on my cars, but at least they are doing it and not complaining.

That's the difference between Lexus and Mercedes. You'd think that higher end companies like Mercedes would treat their customers better.

I read a previous post regarding a rattle coming from the driver's side grab handle (I think that's the name of it).
The other day I heard a noise from mine. I touched it and the rattle stopped. So apparently there is some validity to the other's complaints. I plan to take it apart to find out what's rattling. 2013 ES 350.

There are at least a couple of people who post here who have been fairly confident that the source of the chatter in their ES vehicles was from the B pillar, but, after discussions in threads here, they have realized that the actual source was that assist handle. Because of the way that sounds echo in the relatively small passenger cabin, the actual source of squeaks and rattles can be some distance from where they appear to be coming from, but I'm confident that many, perhaps most, of those who think that they are hearing a chatter from the B pillar are actually hearing a sound coming from the assist handle above the window. The same sound is also probably coming from the assist handle on the passenger side, but they are likely hearing only the one on the driver's side because that assist handle is only a couple of inches from the driver's left ear.

My ES 350 is virtually free from squeaks and rattles, but the one exception was the chatter from the assist handle. After quite a bit of experimentation, I think that I finally came across a simple way to quiet the chatter. I believe that, within the handle assembly, the specific source of the chatter is from the hinge of the handle. If you take a small piece of foam rubber, you can, with little effort, squeeze it under the caps that cover the hinges of the assist handles. Doing so may completely solve the problem, but, if, under certain temperature and humidity conditions, there is still a hint of the chatter left, adding a little more foam rubber under the caps that cover the hinges should completely silence the chatter. Besides this being a quick and easy solution, the other nice thing is that the foam that you squeeze under the cap is completely invisible.

Well I'll check it out and let you know. I don't think that we're the only ones with this issue. Mine just started to occur after a year and a half.
In any case, thanks for the tip Lesz.

Absolutely no rattles or squeaks in my 2014 ES 300h and we have a lot of pot holes and road repairs from last winter's cold in my area.

I'm from Québec, lot of pot holes and road repairs (even more then in Ontario).

I still hear some rattle that I think are coming from around the glove box, any idea what it could be?

No, there is nothing in the glove box. There is some trap inside the glove box, you can open them, not sure what it is for.

Just as a follow up, I did find the source of the rattle in the glove box, it was the glove box locking mechanism. I put some felt to make it close tighter and the issue is now resolved. No rattle left on my car (for now...)
