Really? pandora? Through the enform app? Now that sounds terrible to me.

I'll have to try that...

I'm also assuming that the amount of compression and, consequently, the sound quality that comes with use of streaming apps is going to be affected by the quality/speed of the internet connection being used.

I believe sound quality will be consistent, you may have more drop-outs, though.

I've had my ES 350 UL/ML for five days now. I hooked up my USB drive with 320 kbps ripped CDs and am enjoying very clear music. I actually can understand some of the words to songs! =) I like good music, but I haven't had a real good system in many, many years. It's almost like going from LP to CD again. Not over over do it, but I am enjoying it very much. Actually, I had to turn down the treble as it was "too clear" and that can hurt the ears over time. Aaaahhhh... =)

Had to respond when I saw the title of this.
I too am disappointed with the ML system. I've had my 2013 ES since last fall. I spend a LOT of time on the road - I already have 40K on the car - so I depend on my music to get me through.
Before this I had a 2002 ES, and I can tell you the sound in that is superior. My fiancee is driving that now, so it's easy to compare. She's no audophile, but even she noticed the difference.
Yes, I've tweaked the settings ad nauseam. It sounds "ok" now.
I'm pretty convinced it's the speakers that are not of particularly good quality. As another poster said, when I get the time I intend to do some more research and replace them.
