Default Starting my es300h

I've noticed if I don't push my brake pedal all the way down the car won't beep indicating it's actually on, is that normal that I have to push the brake pedal all the way down?? Thought it wasn't that way when I got it a year ago.

I may need some clarification. What do mean by “all the way down?” You have to put your foot on the brake while pushing the start button. If you are implying that you have to push down really hard, then I would suspect something is wrong. I just have to hold my foot on the brake, but I don’t have to exert any unusual pressure. In fact it works fine with just light brake pedal pressure.

Mine does not work with light pressure, I have to push the pedal like over half way down to engage the engine to start.

I would have the dealer check it out. Our ES doesn’t require a great deal of pressure on the brake pedal.

I think my issue might have been pressing the brake too much, I tried what you do and applied light pressure and comes on like a charm! Thanks!

Pressing the brake all the way down will activate the "Brake Hold" function and has nothing to do with starting the car.
