Rear View Mirror Voltages?

Has anyone disasembled the ES350 rear view mirror to tie into voltage for running accessories? Since the 12VDC lighter socket is in the center console the cable going to my radar detector doesn't look very elagant. I have a multimeter to test for voltage if someone can post how to disassemble the mirror w/o damage.

Do a search on this ES forum. Someone rewired their radar detector from the rear view mirror with pictures on how it was done.
