Default Potential buyer. Have some questions.

I'm in the market for a 2014 ES350. I have a few questions please.
- For the non-HID model, how difficult is it to change the bulb? Is it complicated like removing the bumper or come under through the wheel well?
- What brand and model of tires come with car (for standard 17")? Are there more than one brand?
- When the turn signal is on, is the tail light flashing amber or red (using the brake light)?
- Does it come with Apple's CarPlay or that hasn't been integrated yet?
- How much below MSRP can I expect in New York City? I am interested in the basic plus the rear camera package only. It will be nice if someone here is also from the area who can recommend a dealer with positive experience.

Thanks

I can answer a couple of your questions:

If you are talking about changing out the standard bulb for the HID bulb it is more than just swapping out the bulb. If you just mean changing the bulb I don't think it requires that much work.

Turn signals will be the top part of the lens - amber.

ES-350 come with tires from different manufacturers and you would be best advised to either select a car with Michelin Primacy tires or ask that the Bridgestones or whatever is on the car you want be changed to Michelins as part of your deal. The new Michelin Premier would be even better.

Can't help on Apple issues or NYC pricing.

You will enjoy both the car and Club Lexus.

Apple car play is supposed to be available starting with Hyundai in 2015 on some select models.
No word when if ever Toyota will ever use it.

I am 90% sure the RX has it for 2014, but i could be wrong.

I only see enform as the available entertainment system for the rx on the lexus site.
You have a link?

The apple site lists the following car makes.
Honda
Hyundai
MB
Ferrari
Volvo

http://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/

I do see Toyota listed as a future partner so there is hope for 2015 or 2016 so I stand corrected on timing.

I would love to see this as an option.

Thanks for some of the replies.
For bulb changing, I was wondering how difficult is it to change a burnt out halogen. Some of the newer cars has made it difficult. And another question. Are there any parts the owner's manual has specified that needs to be bought from the dealer only? For example, only use Lexus' special transmission fluid, etc.

I haven't purchased any transmission fluid for several years because the system is pretty well sealed and I don't believe there is even an easy way to check it or add, but the last time I did add fluid to a Lexus is called for the well renowned "Toyota Red" which of course could be purchased from a Toyota dealer rather than a Lexus dealer. But again I no longer keep transmission fluid in my garage.

The 14 & 15 RX models have apples eyes free not car play yet. Eyes free allows the use of seri through the cars audio system.

Very easy to change bulbs.
Nothing hidden and easy to reach.

ttuner69, I purchased my 2013 ES 300h from Ray Catena Lexus in Larchmont, NY and had a great experience and got a great deal. They have just opened a second dealership in White Plains.

Ched Gelb was my salesman. 914-833-5000

Possible, with dealer incentives, hold backs, and manufacturer's rebates especially for the end of the model year push and incoming new model year cars.
